John Beaudoin is a veteran reporter, editor, columnist and freelance journalist who has written for more than three dozen newspapers and magazines over the past four decades. A Pulitzer Prize and National Magazine Award nominee, his stories, columns and editorials have garnered numerous state and regional awards, including the 2001 Allan B. Rogers Award for his work investigating the institutional causes of urban sprawl. His essays and fiction have appeared in The Maine Times, Salt Hill Journal and The Pequod, and he’s contributed feature-length journalism to Habitat, Northern Woodlands, React, The New York Times Update, and Fast Company. A native of Biddeford, Maine, he now lives with his wife on Deer Isle in Penobscot Bay.
